Chapter 7: Maintaining Your Notebook
To remove a virus:

If Norton Internet Security finds a virus, follow all on-screen
instructions to remove the virus.

Turn off your notebook and leave it off for at least 30 seconds.

Turn on your notebook and rescan for the virus.
Updating your virus definitions
You should update your virus definitions regularly to protect your
computer from the latest viruses.
To update Norton Internet Security:

Make sure that you are connected to the Internet.

Click
Start
,
All Programs
,
Norton Internet Security
, then click
Norton
Internet Security
. Norton Internet Security opens.

Click
LiveUpdate
. The LiveUpdate wizard opens.

Follow the on-screen instructions to update your Norton Internet
Security program with the latest virus protection files.
5
When the program has finished, click
Finish
.
Important To update Norton Internet Security after the subscription
period expires, you must extend your subscription.
