18 E-1000 Series User’s Guide
Phone jack
The phone jack connects to the modular telephone cable that goes to your
telephone.
Case lock tabs
Once the case is unlocked, it may be opened by pulling out on both tabs
simultaneously and lifting the cover off the system.
Voltage selector
The voltage selector enables you to select the input voltage used to power
the system. Choose either 115 V or 230 V.
Audio in
The sound input connector from an external source (such as a microphone,
CD player, or cassette recorder) is plugged into this jack.
Audio out
Sound output from the integrated sound system is available by using this
jack. Powered speakers or headphones can be used to listen to music,
multimedia programs, or computer games.
USB ports
Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports facilitate the use of external
Plug-and-Play devices that are automatically configured when they are
plugged into the system via one of these ports.
Mouse port
Plug the mouse cable (PS/2) into this port to enable the mouse to
communicate with the system.
