• Leave some free space within the tea infuser to allow swelling of the ingredients.
• Advice according to the best preparation (dosage, temperature, and steeping
time) may be given on the pack of your tea ingredients. In specialized tea shops,
good advice may be given by the employees.
• Medically used types of tea may need special settings for reaching the opti-
mum effectiveness. Adhere to the recipe given on the pack or get advice in
your apothecary's shop. The automatic steeping function of the appliance can
assist you in keeping the correct temperature and steeping time (see: ‘Properties
of Your New Tea Maker / Automatic Extraction’). When using tea bags, you
can place the tea bag directly into the kettle (see: ‘Operation’). However, we
recommend to use the filter system. Simply remove the thread and paper label
and place the tea bags into the tea infuser (see: ‘Operation / Preparing the Filter
System’). In this case, you can use the tea programs or user-defined programs
quite as usual (see: ‘Properties of Your New Tea Maker / Automatic Extraction’).
BEFORE FIRST USE
WARNING
–
DO NOT let young children play with the appliance or any
part of it or the packaging!
The kettle is made of glass and fragile. Always use
special care when handling glass parts.
Even small splinters and shards could
cause severe injuries, when getting into your food or beverages. Thus, do not
use glass parts again, when there are any cracks or edges are chipped.
Do not
pour cold water into the hot kettle. Always let the kettle cool down, before filling
it again. For operation,
always unwind the power cord completely
to avoid
hazard due to overheating, fire, and electric shock. Always unplug the appliance
before cleaning it, and when it is not in use.
CAUTION
–
Do not place the kettle or power base in an automatic dish-
washer.
Do not place or immerse the power base, power cord, or kettle in water
or other liquids or spill any liquids on the power base, power cord, or the exterior
of the kettle. Avoid moving the cantilever manually, because this results in exces-
sive load to the motor drive. Do not use any abrasive or corrosive cleaners for
cleaning to avoid damage to the surfaces.
1. Unpack the appliance carefully. Check that no parts are damaged or missing
(see: ‘Knowing Your New Tea Maker’). Carefully remove all packaging, ship-
ping materials, stickers, and promotional materials. However, DO NOT remove
the model label at the bottom of the power base.
