ched and the signal sounds. The keep warm function is started and the keep
warm time is counted down on the display, beginning with the maximum keep
warm time.
5. Grasp the pusher plate and push down the tea infuser into the water. If required,
you may push down and pull up the tea infuser for achieving a better extraction.
6. Wait for the tea to get the desired colour. The steeping time can be determined
via the time shown on the display. When steeping is finished, pull up the tea
infuser by the pusher plate until it sticks to the magnet holder.
NOTE
The filter system will not fall out of the kettle during pouring, when lid ring and filter
system are installed correctly.
7. Check the result. For this, take the kettle from the power base and pour a little
tea.
8. When the tea is too weak still, replace the kettle on the power base and push
the tea infuser back into the water again via the pusher plate. The time display
keeps running without interruption, while the kettle is removed from the power
base. Therefore, you can use the time display for determining the total steeping
time.
9. When your tea is done, you should remove the filter system and close the kettle
via the lid.
10. You may use the keep warm function just as usual (see: ‘Properties of Your New
Tea Maker / Keep Warm Function’). However, if you do not need the appli-
ance further on, press the water button for cancelling the function and unplug
the appliance.
NOTE
Do not leave the appliance connected to the power supply uselessly.
HEATING CLEAR WATER
NOTE
After preparing tea within the kettle, you should clean the kettle thoroughly, before
heating water for any other purpose. This way, you avoid carrying over tea aro-
mas (see: ‘Care and Cleaning’). This holds especially after preparing very aroma-
tic types of tea intermediately.
