SOLVING PROBLEMS
If any problems occur during operation, you will find the solution in the following
table.

The ON/OFF but-
ton remains dark.
No signal sounds,
when pressing
the ON/OFF
button.
The appliance is
not live.
Ensure that the appliance is connected to a suitable wall power outlet.
Ensure that the wall power outlet is live by connecting a lamp.
A severe problem
occurred.
Unplug the appliance. Get in contact with an authorised service centre
for examination and repair.
Water accumu-
lates under the
housing or runs
down on the
exterior of the
appliance.
There is too much
water in the hea-
ting bowl.
Immediately unplug the appliance. Then wipe dry the housing. Always
observe the maximum amount when filling (80 millilitres, upper gra-
ding line).
You spilled some
water when filling
the heating bowl.
Immediately unplug the appliance. Then wipe dry the housing. Ensure
not to spill water on the exterior of the appliance during filling.
The cover and/or
egg tray are not
installed properly,
building gaps at
the rim of the
heating bowl.
Immediately unplug the appliance. Then wipe dry the housing. Cover,
egg tray, and housing must make a smooth surface without gaps and
protrusions.
You opened the
cover and/or
removed the egg
tray. Doing so,
condensate may
drip.
Immediately unplug the appliance. Then wipe dry the housing. Always
keep the cover closed correctly during operation.
The heating bowl
is leaking.
Immediately unplug the appliance and wipe dry the housing. Then
check the heating bowl for leakage (fill up and leave stand over
night). Do not use the appliance, if the heating bowl is leaking.
The water is
frothing within
the heating bowl.
Egg white ran
out.
If an egg bursts or you pierced the wrong end of the egg, egg white
may run out, frothing in the boiling water. Immediately unplug the
appliance and wipe dry the appliance completely. Use undamaged
eggs and ensure to pierce the air chamber within the egg only.
