IMPORTANT
POSITIONING THE HEATER
When choosing a mounting position, it is
important to ensure the heater beams are NOT
pointed towards combustible surfaces. To adjust,
loosen the nuts on the side, set the heater to
desired position and re-tighten. Take care not to
pinch the cable between the back of the fittings
and the plate. DO NOT ADJUST WHEN HOT!
TO OPERATE
1. Plug into 240V AC wall socket.
2. To turn on – switch the wall socket on.
3. Switch the heater ON:
500W - one switch
1000W - one switch
1500W - both switches
The red indicator light will turn on to indicate
your chosen setting.
4. To turn off – switch heater OFF and the wall
socket off.
5. Unplug lead from wall socket when not in use.
REPLACING THE BULB
1. Unplug the unit.
2. Loosen the screw at the top of the unit and
hinge the front open. Release the bulb from
the spring loaded lampholders. Insert new
bulb into lampholders ensuring it is mounted
within 4 degrees horizontal along its length. It
is important that the end-caps on the lamp are
making good contact with the lampholders.
Take care not to handle the bulb surface.
Should the bulb be accidentally handled during
installation, it should be thoroughly cleaned with
methylated spirit and a lint free cloth. Close the
front and tighten screw.
CLEANING
Always ensure that the heater has been left for
one hour to cool before cleaning.
1. Turn off and disconnect from mains power,
allow to cool.
2. Wipe unit over with a damp clean soft lint free
cloth.
3. For stubborn marks you can use a mild dish
washing solution on a damp clean soft lint free
cloth.
NEVER allow water or a mild dish washing
solution to enter or drip onto the heater.
NEVER use solvents, e.g. Petrol, Toluene,
Methylated Spirits etc to clean the heater, as
these will damage the surface finish and may
cause a fire when unit is next used.
