1 . From the LOCK OFF position, turn the control knob anti-clockwise to the OFF position.

2 . Push the control knob down and turn to HIGH and press the red piezo ignition button until it ‘clicks’.

The BBQ should light.

CLICK!

3.  To check whether the BBQ has ignited properly, look through the burner viewing hole on the front of the BBQ.

You should see all the burner ports lit with blue

flames.

DO NOT touch the cooking plate to check if the BBQ is on.

4.  If the BBQ does not light, turn the control knob back to the LOCK OFF position and remove the cooking plate to

allow any excess gas to dissipate.

5.  WAIT FIVE MINUTES and then repeat the lighting instructions above.

6 . If the BBQ still does not light, contact the place of purchase for assistance.

Read the entire general information section of this instruction manual before operating the BBQ.
Failure to do so may result in improper use of the BBQ and cause property damage, serious personal injury,
or even death.

If for some reason, the ignitor fails to produce a spark at the electrode, barbecue can be lit by match ignition.

A match ignition hole is located in the left hand side of your barbecue. Through this hole the barbecue can be

ignited using a lit match held in the supplied match holder (a wire length and spring attached to the barbecue

with a short piece of chain). The same hole can be used to light the barbecue using a flexible gas match.

Do not attempt to light your barbecue by removing the hot plate and/or grate as once alight it is unsafe

to reinstall them on the barbecue.
