Troubleshooting
Fault Cause Solu ti on
The engine does not crank. Seized cranksha ft . Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
Seized cylinder, piston, etc. Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
Seized transmission assembly. Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
The electric starter motor does
not crank
The fusible of starter relay is fuse Remove the seat and check the fusible
Ba tt ery is discharged Remove the seat and check the ba tt ery voltage
The engine does no start. Motorcycle has been inac ti ve for a long ti me. Unload the old fuel from the tank. When the
tank is fi lled with the new fuel, the engine will
start immediately.
Spark plug dirty or wet. Clean or dry the spark plug. If necessary, replace
it.
Engine fl ooded. To un fl ood the engine, close the fuel tap, remove
the spark plug, then put a gear and push the bike
several feet with the thro tt le fully open.
Visually you will know when the pre-compression
pan is empty. Mount the spark plug and start
the bike. You may have to remove the spark plug
again if the opera ti on was not enough, the spark
plug will get wet and must be cleaned. Repeat the
pushing, mount the spark plug and the engine will
start.
DANGER
For your safety should wrap the spark plug cap
with a dry cloth. This is to prevent possible spark.
Incorrect air/fuel mixture Clean the fuel tank breather.
Clean the air fi lter.
Exhaust valve opened. Verify and correct the exhaust valve.
The engine starts but then stops. Incorrect air supply. Close the starter. Clean fuel tank air vent. Adjust
the air cleaner duct.
No fuel. Fill up the fuel tank.
The engine overheats. Insu ffi cient coolant. Fill up coolant, verify the refrigera ti on system
water ti ghtness.
Radiator is dirty or par ti ally restricted. Clean radiator fi ns or replace it.
