5. Before replacing the oil filter, make sure that the spring

the gasket

are in the correct position.
6. Replace the filter cover and tighten the bolts without exceeding
the recommended torque.
7.Undo bolt M6 on the chassis oil tank and allow the oil to drain;
Then replace and tighten the bolt and fit a new copper washer.

8. Undo the oil tank filter from the underside of the chassis; clean
the filter net and then replace and tighten the unit to the chassis,
after fitting a new washer.
9. Remove the dipstick from the steering tube and pour approx 1000
ml of new oil through the opening using a funnel.
WARNING
The engine may be damaged if the oil is not used properly or the
specifications recommended by GAS GAS MOTOS are not followed.
Use the type of oil specified in the section on Petrol and Oil
recommendations.
10. Start the engine and allow it to run some minutes. Check for oil
leaking from the filter cover. Stop the engine.
11. Check the oil level is correct: Place the motorcycle on a horizontal
surface, remove the dipstick and check that the oil covers the first
centimetre of the dipstick.
12. If necessary, top up with new oil through the opening of the
alignment tube until the oil level lies between the marks on the
dipstick.
