5 REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES
This section addresses removal and replacement procedures for the GTN unit as well as a limited number
of field replaceable components and connector hardware. Due to extensive calibration and other
requirements, field repair is limited to replacing the parts listed in table 7-1.
CAUTION
Removal or replacement of components not addressed in this section by any person other
than a Garmin authorized repair station representative may void the product warranty.
For complete information regarding Garmin aviation warranty policies and procedures,
refer to Garmin Aviation Warranty Policies and Procedures, P/N M02-60069-00.
CAUTION
Removal and replacement of GTN field replaceable components should be conducted at
an ESD safe workstation. Failure to do so may result in damage to the GTN.
NOTE
With regard to the GTN unit only, directional references assume the display head of the
fully assembled GTN 725/750 is facing AWAY from the viewer.
NOTE
With regard to the GTN rack only, directional references assume the viewer is facing the
installed GTN rack.
Refer to table 5-1 when replacing hardware on the GTN 725/750.
