Depending on the nature of the fault or failure, the GDL 84H/88H may no
longer be transmitting all of the required data in the ADS-B Out messages to
comply with 91.227 and Traffic Alerts may not be provided by the system.

For GDL 84H installations:
If the GDL 84H detects any failures that affect compliance with the
requirements of 91.227, the GDL 84H will immediately annunciate this
event via the external ADS-B annunciator panel (if installed).
ADS-B annunciator illuminated:
Transponder......................................................... .......... VERIFY ON
ADS-B Circuit Breaker......................................... VERIFY CLOSED
When the GDL 84H detects a FAULT that does not affect compliance
with requirements of 91.227 this will be annunciated to flight crew at
the beginning of the next power cycle by flashing the ADS-B
annunciator on/off for approximately 20 seconds after power up.
Contact service to resolve the fault.

For GDL 88H Installations with an interfaced display:
System Messages with “GDL 88 ADS-B Not Transmitting
Position”:
Interfaced GPS position sources............. VERIFY VALID POSITION
System Messages with “GDL 88 ADS-B Control Panel Input
Fault”:
Transponder.......................................................... VERIFY ON or ALT
Other System Messages:
Refer to pilot documentation for display device .
