Full rated pressure is full pressure
differential from the inlet flange to the
discharge flange.
SHUT DOWN
The blower should be unloaded before shut down.
Consideration should be given to possible backflow
and reverse rotation of the equipment as a result of
pressure on the discharge side of the unit. A check
valve is recommended.
Precaution should be taken to insure
that the unit cannot be started
accidentally and cause injury to
personnel or damage to equipment.
If the unit is to be shut down for extended periods of
time, it may be desirable to take some steps to prevent
rust forming inside the casing. Condensation, gas
vapors, or seal water can close up internal clearances
and cause the unit to bind. Injection of oil or other rust
retardant will help to prevent this problem.
