Fault Cause Troubleshooting
For Prunner
The Prunner runs but is not cutting The chain is fitted in reverse on the
guide bar
Refer to the assembly of guide bar and
chain
The Prunner will cut only if the speed is
high,result is only chips with several
larger parts.
The chain is blunt Refer to the saw chain sharpening
The Prunner runs slowly and remains
slightly jammed
Too low voltage The extension cable core wire not
dimensioned sufficiently(see Extension
Cables).
On the starter being pushed,the motor will
not start
1.The swich fuse was not pushed in to
release the starter
2.The extension cable coupling released
3.Automatic fuse or switch open
4.Warm motor brushes
5.An electric clrcuit on the unit opens
1.Push the starter fuse before pushing the
starter
2.Check cable coupling
3.Check automatic fuse or switch
4.Call authorised servicing centre
5.Call authorised servicing centre
The motor runs but the chain will not run Faulty sprocket wheel Call authorised servicing centre
No oil is supplied to the chain 5. Guide bar oil tank plugged
6. Oil too thick
5. Remove the guide bar and clean the
oil tank
6. Use the righe oil.(see oil tank refill)
The chain gets loosen from the guide bar 5. Chain slackened
6. Guide bar and chain misassembled
5. Tlghten the chain see chain tension
set-up (p.28)

The unit is smoking The unit is faulty.Do not use it Call authorised servicing centre
Oil leaking from the unit Oil tank cover not closed Tighten the oll tank cover.
Notice:Empty the oil tank while the unit is
out of use
For hedge trimmer.
The hedge trimmer runs slowly and
remains slightly jammed

The blade is so hard to cut the branchs or
find it’s smoking.
No lubrication on the blade. After each use, clean the blades and
lightly lubricate with general purpose oil or
spray lubricant.
