SERVICING YOUR TILLER
DRIVE BELT CHANGE
1.Stop the engine, and remove the spark plug cap.
2.Unscrew the plastic cover by loosening
cross screws both sides and hex screw
on the top.
Unscrew the engine bolts and nuts

Release the clutch cable and take out
clutch cable head.

Take out the reverse cable.

3.Remove the transmission oil filler cap.

Remove the spark plug with a 13

inch spark plug wrench
.
Inspect the spark plug
.
Replace it
if the electrodes are worn
,
or if the
insulator is cracked or chipped
.
Measure the spark plug electrode
gap with a wire
-
type feeler gauge
.
Correct the gap
,
if necessary
,
by
carefully bending the side
electrode
.
Install the spark plug carefully
,
by
hand
,
to avoid cross
-
threading
.
After the spark plug seats
,
tighten with a 13/16-inch spark plug wrench to
compress the washer. If reinstalling a used spark plug, tighten 1/8-1/4
turn after the spark plug seats.
