To achieve good result and to increase the lifetime of the rake cylinder, mow your lawn to
a shorter height (less than 4 cm) before starting.
Changing the cylinder (Figure 9 and 10)
•
Make sure that you are wearing protective gloves
•
Slide the hex nut (1) into the driving shaft (2)
•
Fix the other side into the housing with the 2 bolts (3) as shown in figure 10.
Moving the appliance
Caution! Before transporting the appliance, switch off the motor.
When moving the appliance the blade cylinder and the unit can be easily damaged, even
if the motor is switched off. Prevent the cylinder from touching the ground by setting the
working depth to the top position.
Maintenance and Storage
Before carrying out any maintenance, switch off and unplug the appliance from the
mains power supply.
Before each time the appliance is used:
•
Check the connecting cable for signs of damage or ageing, and if it is cracked,
split or damaged replace it immediately.
•
Check the condition of the cutting cylinder, and ensure that all threaded
connections are securely tightened.
•
If the blades are blunt, take it to your local hardware store for repair.
Once per season
•
Lubricate the blades, joints between the cylinder and the driving shaft and the
twist spring on the safety flap.
•
At the end of the grass-cutting season, have the appliance checked and serviced
at your local hardware store.
