Splitting and merging keyboard and mouse signals
In this operating mode, the
USB-Splitter-2
splits the keyboard and mouse signals
from the computer module coming in on
Port A
:
Keyboard signals:
The
Keyboard
interface provides keyboard signals.
Use a converter (
Versalent WLKB232-024
, for example) to transmit this data to an
RS232 interface of the computer.
Mouse signals:
The
Generic
interface provides incoming mouse signals.
Use a converter (
Versalent USBM232-024RR5
, for example) to transmit this data to
another RS232 interface of the computer.
Mode:
Set the rotary switch to position
4
.
Keyboard:
Connect the
Versalent WLKB232-024
converter and then connect ot to an
RS232 interface of the computer.
Generic:
Connect the
Versalent USBM232-024RR5
converter and then connect ot to an
RS232 interface of the computer.
Port A:
Use one of the supplied USB connection cables to connect the
USB CPU
inter-
face of the computer module to this interface.
NOTE:
Use this operating mode to connect computers that transmit keyboard
and/or mouse signals via RS232 interface(s) to a computer module.
NOTE:
Keyboard signals coming in at the
Keyboard
interface are merged with the
mouse signals coming in at the
Generic
interface.
Port A
provides them to the com-
puter module.
NOTE:
Use a precision mechanic's screwdriver to adjust the rotary switch.
