3 Controller Setup
Once your controller has been successfully started, you will need to connect it to the
Internet. Make sure you do not miss this step, because when you first start the Houseper
application it will connect to a server to make the initial configuration of the controller.
3.1
Network Configuration
Depending on your choice for internet connectivity, you can choose from one of the
following options:
3.1.1 LAN Configuration
1.
Connect the LAN port of the controller to a free port on your router.

The controller uses DHCP by default. In order to change the settings, start
the
Box Settings application, select Network, Ethernet.
3.1.2 WiFi Configuration
1.
Select Wi-Fi from Settings from Wireless & Networks;
2.
Turn on WiFi service;
3.
Select a Wi-Fi network from the list, enter the password (if any) and click Connect.
3.1.3 3G/4G Configuration
This method is applicable only for controllers with a built-in 4G LTE module. To install the
SIM card follow these steps:
1.
Turn the power off from the Houseper controller (if its batteries are charged, it will
continue to run);
2.
Remove the bolts from the lower battery cover;
3.
Disconnect the battery;
4.
Place your SIM card in the designated slot;
5.
Connect the battery;
6.
Close the cover and screw the bolts back on to the cover;
7.
Turn the power supply on for the Houseper controller.
8.
From Settings, Wireless & Networks select More and configure Cellular Networks:
o
If you are in roaming, turn Data Roaming on;
o
Select Preferred Network type;
o
Select Network Operators;
