2. General operating rules
2.1. Installation
- Buffer tank should be installed in a dry room. The tank cannot be installed in rooms where the ambient temperature may fall below 0°C.
- The tank should be connected by a qualified installer. Confirmation of installation in the warranty card is required.
- Due to the design of the tank, it should only be installed in an upright position.
- Buffer tanks are recommended to be installed close to the main heat source in order to avoid unnecessary heat loss.
- Buffer tanks can be connected to open and closed systems. The heating system pressure (closed system) must not exceed the maximum operating pressure
of the tank (0,3 MPa).
- Buffer tanks used in an open installation should be connected to an open vessel protected in accordance with PN-B02413.
- Buffer tanks used in closed systems should be protected by a properly selected safety valve with a pressure not higher than the maximum operating
pressure of the tank (0,3 MPa). The installation should be additionally equipped with an expansion vessel of appropriate capacity.
2.2. Start-up
After connecting the entire central heating system you should:
1. Fill the heating system with a heating factor.
2. Check the hydraulic connections for any leaks.
3. Insulate the pipelines and tank connections.
4. Bleed the installation.
After completing all the steps, the central heating installation is ready to work. The first heating of the buffer tank should be carried out in the presence of
the installer in order to correctly check the operation of the whole installation.
Before bleeding the buffer tank, make sure that the heating device is switched off and the heating system is not hot.
Before the first start-up or after a long break in operation, check whether the entire installation is filled with the heating medium.
2.3. Turning off the boiler
In the event of interruption in use and the risk of freezing of the heating medium in the tank, the tank and the entire heating system associated with it
should be emptied.
Caution!
- It is prohibited to start the heating circuit if the buffer tank is not filled with heating medium.
- The buffer tank must not be used if a malfunction of the safety valve is found.
- It is forbidden to install devices (e.g. shut-off valve, non-return valve, etc. between the tank and the safety valve, or an open expansion vessel (a tee is
the only exception).
- It is forbidden to make any unauthorized repairs to the tank.
- It is not allowed to prevent the water leakage from the safety valve.
