HOW TO CLEAN THE HEPA FILTER
It is very important to keep the filters clean to receive maximum performance from the vacuum.
Clean the filter regularly and replace the filters when necessary.
Cleaning is best done when emptying the dust container.
HEPA Dust Cup Filter will stop most of the tiniest dust particles and airborne allergens from re-
entering the air you breathe. In fact it stops 99.97% of all particles as small as 0.3 microns-many
times smaller thana human hair! Because of this incredible filtration performance, the HEPA
Dust Cup Filter will quickly accumulate may fine dust particles inside the white filter folds that
are difficult to see but which will eventually block or reduce your suction power, if not cleaned
properly. We recommend washing it once a month or when suction appears to be reduced. To
wash your HEPA Dust Cup Filter, hold filter cartridge by frame flange and rinse under a tap until
all observable dirt has been removed. Some discoloration of the HEPA filter material may occur,
this is normal and will not affect the filter‘s performance. When finished, shake off excess water.
Do NOT wash in dishwasher. It is important that when you wash the HEPA dust cup filter, you
allow it to dry COMPLETELY before using again. We recommend 24 hours to air dry. DO NOT
DRY IN DRYER.
The HEPA filter operating lifetime corresponds to about 10 to 15 washing cycles. After that, the
filter looses its performance and it should be replaced.
Caution!
Only ever clean the filter with clean water and do not use soap or detergent. These would
destroy the filter.
Motor protection filter
The motor protection filter cleans the air that is sucked in before it enters the motor. The air is
cleaned of fine dusts, mites, bacteria and viruses. This prevents dirt or dust particles from get
-
ting into the motor or the surrounding air.
Cleaning the exhaust air filter
The exhaust air filter cleans the air a final time before it leaves the vacuum cleaner. You can
clean the exhaust air filter as follows:
Switch off the vacuum cleaner and disconnect the plug from the mains. To do this always
pull on the plug and not on the cable.
Open the exhaust air grill (this is at the rear of the cyclone vacuum cleaner.)
The exhaust air filter is visible when the grill has been opened.
Rinse the filter under cold running water and allow dry.
5. Put the exhaust air filter back into place (or replace with a new one) and place in the grill.
6. Close the exhaust air filter grill.
Trouble-shooting
Faults can occur on all electrical equipment. This must not necessarily be due to a defect in the
device itself. So check first with table if the fault can be dealt with.
