Repair / RMA
Maintenance for the DMC-3x01x controller should be completed using the RMA process with Galil Motion Control.
Do not open the metal enclosure of the DMC-3x01x controller. Removing the metal enclosure will void the
warranty. If the DMC-3x01x controller appears damaged, or is exhibiting unexpected behavior, contact Galil Motion
Control to speak with an Applications Engineer.
Precautions and Procedures
Maintenance procedures to an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) machine should be defined by the OEM.
During maintenance procedures, ensure that all input power to the DMC-3x01x controller is removed. Also ensure
that cabling connected to the IO and communications is removed from the DMC-3x01x controller in order to
prevent damage to these interfaces.
The DMC-3x01x controller should be handled in a way to minimize strain on the connectors. When handling the
DMC-3x01x controller, it should be held from the base-plate and metal enclosure. The DMC-3x01x controller should
not be lifted using the connectors, wiring, or break-out boards.
