7. Hints for the Use
7.1 Preparation
Water connection:
Tap water with 3 bar
(admission) pressure
Power connection:
Cable reels or long
power cords (cable) cause loss of perform-
ance.
Workpiece support:
On firm trestle or table
with workpiece-support, giving ample room
for the saw-blades to move freely through
the workpiece. Choose convenient height.
Fastening / Fixing:
To prevent slipping or
moving the work piece is to be fastened
tightly to its support (i.e. with screw clamps).
Layout (guide) lines:
The guiding lines
should be drawn with a fine wax pencil to
prevent blotting out by the cooling water.
Alternatively you can work with self-adhesive
paper (tape) on which the guiding lines can
be drawn with pencil or pen. This item is
available through us.
7.2 The Proper Saw-Blade
Before commencing the cutting job, mount
the saw-blade that fits the thickness and kind
of material cut.
New blades are to be
sharpened slighlty with a sharpening
stone (exception: marble!)
.
Do not switch on machine without mount-
ed saw-blade (loose clamping device may
fall off).
Special saw-blades are supplied for residual
cut-outs of curves. These can be used, for
example, for cutting kitchen worktops where-
by longitudinal sections are made with a
bridge saw or a right-angle grinder. Because
of the pointed end of the cut, these should
be cut only with the special saw-blade SGB,
2-4 for the corresponding slab thickness.
Suitable Saw-Blades:
for marble
:
SGM
(cutting range10 - 60 mm)
for granite
(unique blades for different slab
thicknesses)
:
G2
(for 20 mm only),
G3
(for 30 mm only)
and
G4
(for 40 mm only)
And for left-over-joints of bridge-saw cuttings
in granite:
B2
(for 20 mm only),
B3
(for 30 mm only),
B4
(for 40 mm only)
for sandstone
(unique blades for different
slab thicknesses)
