The printer configuration after the initialization will revert to the default values as follows:
Skip AUTO.BAS program
User can use
TSPL2
command to save a code auto-running file
(AUTO.
BAS)
into flash. When turning the printer on, it will run the program auto-
matically.
If you want to skip the
AUTO.BAS
program on power-up, then follow these
steps:
Press and hold the
PAUSE
and
FEED
buttons, then turn the printer on.
When the Online indicator (blue) is off, Ribbon indicator (green) is on, and
Error indicator (red) is on, release the
PAUSE
and
FEED
buttons. The
printer will skip running the
AUTO.BAS
program, and the Power indicator
will be on.
Printer Initialization

Turn off the printer.

Press and hold the
PAUSE
and
FEED
buttons, then turn the printer on.
When the online indicator (blue) is on and the Error indicator (red) is off, re-
lease the
PAUSE
and
FEED
buttons. All data in the printer`s
DRAM
will be
cleared and the printer settings will be restored to factory default settings.
The Online indicator will be on and the printer will be in ready status.
*Factory default settings do not include ribbon settings.
Ribbon detection
When the printer power is turned on, or it is in thermal-transfer printing
mode, the printer will automatically detect the ribbon status to check if the
ribbon is installed and works normally.
After ribbon detection, the printer will be set to thermal-transfer printing
mode. If no ribbon is present, the system will go to direct thermal printing
mode and shut off the ribbon rolling motor function.
