SELECTING A SOUND
The keyboard has 480 different sounds (refer to sound list appendix on
p.27 for details). Press the [SOUND] button to enter the sound mode.
The display will show “SOUND R1” plus the current sound name and
number.
Use the number keypad, or the [
^
]/[^] buttons to select the required
sound.
LAYER MODE
The LAYER function allows two different sounds to be played
simultaneously. To access this mode, press the [LAYER] button. The
display will show “SOUND R2” plus the current sound name and
number. Use the number keypad, or the [
^
]/[^] buttons to select the
required second sound.
Both sounds layered together will be heard when playing the keyboard.
To exit this mode, press the [LAYER] button again.
SPLIT MODE
The SPLIT function splits the keyboard into left and right areas, each
with a different sound. To access this mode, press the [SPLIT] button.
The display will show “SOUND L” plus the current left-hand sound name
and number. Use the number keypad, or the [
^
]/[^] buttons to select the
required Split sound.
The keyboard will now play with the two different lower and higher
sounds. To exit this mode, press the [SPLIT] button again.
Please note:
The “split point” where the two sounds are separated will default at
F#3 (key 19) but can be assigned to any other key. Refer to the function
menu for more information.
