Drain the carburetor by loosengine the drain screw.Drain the gasoline into asuitable
container.(017)
Gasoline is extremely flammable and is explosive under certain conditions
Perform this task in a well ventilated area with the engine stopped.Do not smoke
or allow flames or spartks In the area during this producedure.
Change the engine oil.
2.1 Drain the used oil while the engine is warm. Warm oil drains quickly and completely.
Avoid contact with hot oil.
2.2 Place a suitable container below the engine to catch the used oil then remove
the filler cap/dipstick and the drain plug.Allow the used oil to drain completely, then
reinstall the drain plug, and tighten it securely.
2.3 With the engine in a level position, fill to the outer edge of the oil filler hole with the
recommended oil.Securely screw in the filler cap/dipstick.
Remove the spark plug,and pour about a tablespoon of clean engine oil into the
cylinder.Crank the engine several revolutions to distribute the oil,then reinstall the spark
plug.
Slowly pull the strarter grip until resistance is felt. At this point,the piston is coming up on
its compression stroke and both the intake and exhaust valves are closed.Storing the
engine in this positon will help to protect it from internal corrosion.(019)
