Press the AREA/VOLUME/
PYTHAGOREAN MEASURING BUTTON
seven times to select Pythagoras
method four (

Press the TURN ON/MEASURING
BUTTON to take the first distance
measurement (Point a in above
diagram).
Press the TURN ON/MEASURING
BUTTON again to take the second
distance measurement (Point b in
above diagram).
Press the TURN ON/MEASURING
BUTTON again to take the third
distance measurement (Point c in
above diagram).
The measurement (x) is calculated
automatically and displayed on the
screen.
The measurement (x) must be
shorter than the hypotenuse, or
there will be ‘ERROR’ message on
the screen. In order to guarantee the
accuracy, please make sure all
measurements start from the same
point.
addItIon/SuBtractIon
Addition: Short press ADDITION (+)
BUTTON.
Subtraction: Short press
SUBTRACTION(-)/ SOUND BUTTON.
Take a measurement, then press the
ADDITION (+) or /SUBTRACTION(-)/
SOUND BUTTON. The addition/
subtraction symbol will appear on
the LCD display.
Press the TURN ON/MEASURING
BUTTON to take the second
measurement. The second value will
be automatically added/ subtracted
from the first measurement.
Note: This process can be repeated
as required.

Select the required measuring mode
by pressing the AREA/VOLUME/
PYTHAGOREAN MEASURING
BUTTON.
Area cumulative function example:
Press the TURN ON/MEASURING
BUTTON to take the first distance
measurement (length).
Press the TURN ON/MEASURING
BUTTON again to take the second
distance measurement (width).
The results of length, width and area
are displayed on the screen.
