Do not use the vacuum cleaner on wet surfaces, pick
up wet objects or use in wet conditions. Do not
handle the plug or vacuum cleaner with wet hands.
Only use the vacuum cleaner indoors on dry surfaces.
Always switch off and disconnect the battery from the
vacuum cleaner before assembling, opening or
emptying the ashes container, connecting/
disconnecting the attachments, or carrying out
maintenance or troubleshooting checks.
The vacuum cleaner must never be left running
unsupervised.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the vacuum cleaner. Never allow children
to use this appliance.
Do not use the vacuum cleaner if it has been dropped,
damaged, left outdoors or dropped in water.
Only use attachments and accessories specified by
the manufacturer.
Do not use the vacuum cleaner to pick-up hot coals,
cigarette butts, hot ashes, matches or any other
burning objects as this is a fire risk.
When using the appliance to vacuum fireplace ash,
WAIT UNTIL THE ASH IS COMPLETELY COOL.
Do not use the appliance if the filter is not installed.
Do not use other filters except the ones attached to
the appliance by manufacturer.
Do not pick up flammable or combustible materials
such as petrol, copier toner or other volatile
substances. Never use in the presence of explosive
liquid or vapours. Never vacuum up harmful or toxic
material such as acids, chlorine, bleach, ammonia,
drain cleaner, asbestos or asbestos dust.
Do not put any objects in ventilation openings. Do not
use the product with any opening blocked. Keep
openings free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may
reduce air flow.
Do not use the vacuum cleaner to pick-up large
objects that are likely to cause blockage and damage.

Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at
all times. This enables better control of the product in
unexpected situations. Overreaching can result in loss
of balance or exposure to hot surfaces.
Keep the product dry, clean and free from oil and
grease. Always use a clean cloth when cleaning.
Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and
free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and
grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and
control of the tool in unexpected situations.
We recommend that filters should be checked and
cleaned periodically. For washable filters, ensure they
are completely dry before inserting back into the
vacuum cleaner. Do not wash with detergents. Use
only warm water.
Only use FXA spare parts and accessories.
Never modify the vacuum cleaner in any way.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES ChARGERS
1. Before using the charger, read all the instructions
and cautionary markings on the charger and battery
pack as well as the instructions on using the battery
pack.
2. Only charge your batteries indoors as the charger is
designed for indoor use only.

If the battery pack is cracked or
damaged in any other way, do not insert it in the
charger. There is a danger of electric shock or
electrocution.

Do not allow any liquid to come into
contact with the charger. There is a danger of electric
shock.
5. The charger and battery packs supplied with it are
specifically designed to work together. Do not attempt
to charge the battery pack with any other charger than
the one supplied.
6. Do not pull on the power cord to disconnect it from
the mains supply socket.
7. Do not use the charger if it has been subjected to a
heavy knock, dropped or otherwise damaged in any
way. Take the charger to an authorised service centre
for a check or repair.
8. Do not disassemble the charger. Take it to an
authorised service centre when service or repair is
required. Incorrect re-assembly may result in the risk
of fire, electric shock or electrocution.
9. To reduce the risk of an electric shock, unplug the
charger from the power supply before attempting to
clean it. Removing the battery alone does not reduce
the risk.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES FOR ThE BATTERY
PACK
1. The battery pack for this tool has been shipped in a
low charge condition. You should charge the battery
pack fully before use.
2. Do not incinerate the battery pack even if it is
seriously damaged or can no longer hold a charge.
The battery pack can explode in a fire.
3. A small leakage of liquid from the battery pack may
occur under extreme usage or temperature conditions.
This does not necessarily indicate a failure of the
battery pack. However, if the outer seal is broken and
this leakage comes into contact with your skin wash
the affected area quickly with soap and water.
