play with as many as nine dots. You can turn
this display on/off as follows:

1.26 Target Trails (Echo Trails)
It is possible to display the trails of the radar
echoes of targets in the form of synthetic af-
terglow. Target trails are selected either rela-
tive or true and may be sea or ground
stabilized. The simulated afterglow can be se-
lected in a single tone or gradual shading de-
pending on a setting on the TGT TRAIL menu.
Note that afterglow is shown in light yellow
when the echo color is green.
True or relative trails
You may display target trails relative to north
or own ship heading in Relative Motion. True
motion trails require a compass signal and
own ship speed input to cancel out own ship’s
movement and present true target move-
ments in accordance with their over-the-
ground speeds and courses.
