Figure 3.7 shows the block diagram of the EXIF Unit.

The EXIF unit is required when the external transceiver unit (ETR) is installed, and when
monitoring the video signal with the external equipment or monitoring the video signal from the
external equipment.
For external transceiver unit (ETR)
The EXIF outputs the GAIN/TVG control voltage and transmission trigger pulse (KP OUT H/L),
and inputs the echo signals (SIG IN AC/DC) and KPs (KP IN H/L).
The KP IN H and KP IN L signals are feedback signals of the transmission trigger pulse to acquire
the received signal into the processor circuit on the MAIN board.
Signal Output (SIG OUT)
Only echo signals of the internal transceiver unit are outputted from SIG OUT terminal of the EXIF
unit. When external transceiver unit is selected on the menu, the signal output is suspended.
KP Output
Trigger signals corresponding to the selected unit in the menu are outputted from the KP OUT
