Installation in system housing
Basic camera FAC 960 is designed to be installed in a system housing. The video ground (GND) is isolated from the
power supply ground (-UBATT) and the housing in order to prevent ground hum. See Accessories section on page
16 for available housing versions. Installation is described in the Operating Instructions that are enclosed with each
housing.
Because of its round shape, the camera twists smoothly into the system housing and can be aligned to point at the
observed scene. The neutral position is indicated by a notch in the housing.
Please note the following when installing the camera in non-Funkwerk housings:
•
There must be an electrically conductive connection between the camera housing and system housing,
•
Ensure good thermal contact between the camera housing and system housing,
•
Make sure that the permissible ambient temperature is not exceeded,
•
Prevent condensation inside the camera and lens.
EMC/overvoltage protection
The basic camera meets the limit values for electromagnetic emissions acc. to EN 50022 and susceptibility acc. to
EN 61000-6-2.
The following requirements must be met outside the camera.
The camera housing must be reliably earthed at the place of installation in order for the camera's built-
in protective measures to be effective.
Lenses
The following types of lenses are possible:
Shutters with manual adjustment, VSS, DC and ER shutters.
Note:
Adjustment must be performed during installation in the case of VSS shutters!
Menus are available in the Config Tool configuration software to achieve optimal adaptation to the shutter type (see
supplied CD-ROM).
