- When the ServerView Agent is not running on the target server:
The OS is not shut down, but the server turns off.
• The following two things are unsupported by this product.
- Clearing System Event Log
Even if you click the [Manage] tab, and press the [Clear] button of the [System Event Log], you
can not clear the System Event Log.
"Error clearing System Event Log" or "Permission denied!" message appears.
Clear System Event Log using BIOS settings.
- SEL detection of a FAN error
A log indicating FAN error does not appear properly in the [System Event Log] of the
[Manage].
Make sure to check System Event Log using tools(IPMVIEW. exe) provided with this server.
Also FAN errors will not be notified by e-mail or traps.
• SEL messages
When referring to the PRIMERGY RX600 S2 SEL from the Web Interface of this product, a log
will displays an "unrecognized event". When this message appears, check the relevant log from
ServerView. When judging whether a failure has occurred using a log of this product, the
followings applies.
- When single bit error occurs during HotSpare status of DIMM:
An unrecognized event is recorded in the RSB log that correspond with the Memory
redundancy lost of ServerView. DIMM "Disabled" and DIMM "spare device used/removed"
logs are always recorded before an "unrecognized event". These proceeding logs make it
possible to judge whether DIMM redundancy was lost.
