1.2 Hardware

Structure

An outer view of the HDD is given in Figures 1.1 and 1.2. The HDD is composed of disks, heads,
spindle motor, and disk enclosure (DE) with actuator and air circulation filter, as well as the
printed circuit assembly (PCA) with controller and read/write pre-amp.
