Remove the hard disk drive from the hard disk carrier (2).

If you are not installing a new hard disk:
Keep the screws in the accessories kit so that they will not be lost.
Install the empty hard disk carrier in the casing (corresponds to installation of a hard disk
carrier with installed hard disk, see
"Installing a hard disk drive ", Page 78
).

Secure the hard disk cover (see
"Secure the hard disk cover", Page 55
).

On devices with a casing lock: Lock the casing.
►
On devices without a casing lock but with hard disk cover lock: Lock the hard disk
cover (see
"Mechanically lock the hard disk cover on devices without a casing lock",
) and close the casing (see
).
It may be necessary to modify the entry for the drive in the
BIOS Setup
