Compensation
When taking a photo with an extremely
bright background such as a lot of snow.
The compensation brightens the entire
frame, showing the subject in a natural
looking light.
When the background is too dark, the subject
such as a portrait in a lit by a spot light, is
washed out.
The compensation darkens the entire
frame, showing the subject in a natural
looking light.
