Installation

1.  Remove the 2½-inch stainless steel plug from the Dura-Dry II MP Condenser Module.

2.  Grease the bottom of the CA-3 port.

3.  Insert the CA-3 into the port on the top of the Dura-Dry through the black rubber

grommet.

4.  Screw the three rods together and screw the assembled rod into the top of the Dura-

Dry.

5.  Clamp rubber couplings on all CA-3 ports.

6.  Insert manifold(s) and clamp to the rubber couplings.

7.  Attach manifold(s) to the rod with brackets provided.

NOTE:

If 1 or 2 manifolds are ordered, place white cap on the unused ports of the CA-

3.

NOTE:

CA-6 is also an option that contains 6 ports for 6 manifolds.

Installation and Use of Quick-Vac Valves

1.  All ports have been greased at the factory. If additional grease is needed, FTS

recommends Dow Corning or equivalent high vacuum grease.

2.  Place Quick-Vac valves on each port. Note that one end of the valve contains a slight

rise or bump, referred to as the Index Boss. This end of the valve is placed

away

from

the manifold (see diagram on following page).

3.  Make sure all valves are in the closed position (see diagram).

4.  Quick-Vac valves accept ½ inch lipped flaskware. FTS also carries 3/4-inch valves if

required.

5.  While performing a run, add each sample one at time by slowly opening the Quick-Vac

valve. When the Dura-Dry is ready for the next sample, the

ADD PRODUCT

 light will

illuminate.

IMPORTANT:

Before removing flaskware, open valve to the venting position (see diagram).
