Liquid Nitrogen Trap
This trap is sold as an option and may not be included with your unit. The liquid nitrogen trap
(LNT) is connected to a freeze-dryer when it is important to trap high vapor pressure solvents.
Typically these solvents come off of product early in the cycle. During this time the LNT can be
valved so it is on line . When the pressure in the system decreases, indicating that the high
vapor pressure solvents are gone, the LNT can be valved off line . This will allow the most
economical use of liquid nitrogen.
