After entering all data for the NV and clicking the "Ap-
ply" button, the "Download" button becomes visible and
is active as shown in Figure 12. After the "Apply" button
is clicked, it will become disabled until another change
has been made.

Note that the log window shows all values – old and new.
In addition, the change is time stamped.

Although  the  "Apply"  button  can  be  clicked  for  each
change on the screen, it is more efficient to make all re-
quired changes to the screen and then click the "Apply"
button.

NVI SCREEN (CONTINUED)

Figure 12

Unlike the "Apply" button that must be clicked

for each

screen

, the "Download" button can be clicked just once,

after all changes to all screens have been made.

Once  the  "Download"  button  is  clicked,  the  Frontier
Gateway  will  configure  itself  to  use  the  new  values  for
the  Frontier  field  devices.  At  this  time,  the  "Download"
button will disappear (Figure 13).

Note  also  that  the  log  window  continues  in  data  flow.
Previous  information  is  not  overwritten.  When  the  log
window is full, a scroll bar will appear to allow scrolling
through the information.
