Connecting the balance to a PC requires an RS232 to USB adapter serial cable
(not included) and COMToo[BE1] l. COMTool is a serial communication
terminal program that can transmit bytes to and from devices connected to
the PC’s COM port.
RS232 Printout Settings
Connect the balance to the PC using the RS232 cable.
Open COMTool and select the COM port.
Set the baud rate to 9600.
Select serial input R.
Short press the CAL/PCS button to send data to the PC.
Turn on the power.
Press the TARE button twice, and press the CAL/PCS key once.
When the LCD displays “01-dlU,” press the UNIT button until “08-bud” is
displayed.
Press the TARE button. If “9600” is not displayed, press the UNIT button
until “9600” appears.
Press the TARE button; “08-bud” will appear.
Press the UNIT button; “09-odE” will appear.
Press TARE; the number “3” will appear. If “3” does not appear, press the
Unit key to cycle through the settings until “3” appears.
Press TARE.
Turn the balance off and then turn it on again to complete the RS232
settings.
