To freeze and defrost food
The products to be frozen must be fresh and
clean.
Pack food into portions
suitable to the size of your
family and that can be
consumed at once.
Defrosted food must not be
frozen again.
Small packages allow faster and uniform
freezing.
Never place food to be frozen in contact with
already frozen foods, because the temperature
of the frozen food tends to increase.
To defrost meat, fish and fruit, keep them in the
refrigerator compartment.
Small pieces of meat can be cooked still
frozen.
Vegetables can be unfrozen in boiling water.
Microwave ovens are suitable for defrosting
all types of food depending on the type of
packaging. Follow the instructions of your
microwave oven manufacturer.
Avoid freezing foods (fish, chicken, beef, etc.)
that are not stored in containers with lids or
carefully sealed packages. This avoids the
transmission of strong odors to the ice formed
in the freezer and to unfrozed water, which is
collected by the collector outside and with the
passage of time evaporates.
Food Storage
To preserve the characteristics of the food or
liquid, keep them in sealed containers.
Avoid placing food prepared water-based
(soups and broths) in open containers ‘cause
they can freeze.
Do not put hot food in the freezer, allow to cool
naturally before freezing them.
For better preservation of food, fruits and
vegetables should be washed, dried and
packaged before being stored.
When storing eggs in their storage
compartment (eggs tray), make sure they are
fresh and always place them upright. This will
keep them fresh for longer.
To preserve leafy vegetables, put them in
plastic bags and store them in the fruits and
vegetables drawer.
Dry every food is stored in the refrigerator.
Do not touch food/objects in the refrigerator
bottom part to not freeze them.
