LWL Connect closure VM 60/95 

for cutted and uncutted FO cable and FO pipes

This installation requires additionally 
a standard 8 mm wrench for the M5 screws. 
 
Prerequisite: General experience with 
FO cable closure installation required! 
 
“Cable” means both: FO cable and FO pipes.

Special instructions to make this closure watertight: 

1.) When tearing off the rings from this Plug, it is important, that they are removed 
    complete and without flashes left behind. 
2.) Remove just as many rings as needed so that the Plug fits very tight around the cable. 
3.) Lubricate all parts as required. Lubricate well. Rather lubricate too much than too less. 
4.) Try to not lubricate the threat of the Folding Screw and the thread of the closure body. 
5.) Always when fastening plastic, it might yield a bit over time. Therefor it is required that 
    1 hour (more time is even better) after the installation, the steps 27 and 30 are repeated. 
 
 

Installation Instructions:

 

1.) Installation should be performed only by personnel experienced with FO cable closures. 
2.) It is recommended to start by placing all parts within the top half-shell of the closure body. 
3.) Clean the cable coats. 
4.) Lubricate the cable coat at the position where the Plug will come to be. 
5.) Lubricate the inner surface of the Plug.
