8. Plug the interconnect nipple on the bladder and carefully inflate it. Use a spray
bottle with soapy water to locate the leak by looking for bubbles. It is also possible
to submerge the bladder in a pool looking for these bubbles. (Please note there
might be more than just one leaking point).
9. Circle the leaking holes with a ball point pen and let the bladder dry before
repairing.
10. Utilize the provided patches in the repair kit to cover these holes. After
attaching the patch, applying pressure can help improve the bonding.
11. Carefully accordion fold the bladder to prevent it from twisting when pulling it
back into the LE. Utilize the string from step 7 to do so. Take into consideration the
note on the valve’s orientation from step 5.
12. If the leak is on the CS, tie a line on the nipple of the inter connect hose and on
the side valve (present on larger sizes) before carefully removing the bladder
through the tip on the trailing edge.
13. Follow steps 8 through 11 to repair the leaks on the bladder of the CS.
14. After reassembling the FreeWing, inflate it to the recommended pressure and
close the clamp on the inter connect hose. This will help determine the success of
the repair.
