The manual emergency lowering should only be used if when the emergency lowering cord fails, due to total power loss. The
manual E-Lower is a last resort safety feature for when a patient is suspended and cannot be lowered.
To operate, remove the Cap from the side cover of the Hoist (Figure 38). Insert the Emergency lowing wind down that is
provided with the Hoist, into the Motor unit inside the cover (Figure 39). Gently pulling on the left-hand side chain to manually
operate the Hoist Motor and safely lower the patient. (Figure 41)
After use, remove the emergency wind down and re-insert the grommet back into the plastic cover.
Powered Auxiliary Hoist
The Transactive Xtra with Powered Auxiliary option includes all the same features as a standard Powered or Manual Transactive
Xtra. But this option includes the ability for the Hoist to communicate with Powered H-Systems, Powered Turntables or Powered
Pivoting Carry Bars. This communication can be done using the two additional buttons on the handset (Figure 42). These are the
White and Black buttons.
These buttons will communicate and move the H-System/Turntable or Powered Carry Bar in the direction indicated by the black
and white arrows located on the underside of the optional system.
For details on how to operate the Powered Turntable, Powered H-System and Powered Carry Bar with the Powered Auxiliary
Hoist see the User Manuals for these products.
