How the lantern works
The solar panel on top of the lantern absorbs sunlight and turns it into electricity. The rechargeable battery
inside the lantern stores that electricity for later use.
The lantern has a number of bright LEDs (1) that produce the light. There are three brightness settings that select
how much light is required. The brighter the light, the more electricity is needed, and therefore the sooner the
battery will be discharged.
A charging-indicator light (3) shines when the lantern is being charged. This also serves as a battery level
indicator (3).
The lantern has a USB output port (4). This can be used to recharge USB-compatible mobile phones, flashlights and
radios.
There is a micro USB power-input (5) that allows the lantern to be recharged from a USB cable.
The lantern has a light-flashing function operated by press-button (6) to attract attention in an emergency.
(In some versions this is connected to a siren).
The lantern is water and dust resistant.
