Releasing the brake
:
Lower the winch so that the slope stabilizers are firmly on the ground, release the brake by
pressing button B (page 9, photo F). The brake can also be permanently released by turning
knob C (page 8, photo E).
Remember the safety distance!
Pulling out the steel cable:
When the brake is released, the cable can be pulled out. Important! Set the trailing brake
(page 9, photo F) so that the drum stops
immediately
when the log is reached.
Winding/pulling out:
Find a safe position with an unobstructed view of the logs. Then pull
knob A (page 8, photo E).
Dead man’s switch:
In the event of accident or if feeling unwell, or any similar situation, press button D
(page 8, photo E). The winch will then stop winding.
Hauling:
Attach the log firmly to the chain tree and lift the tractor winch until the ends of the logs are
free of the ground.
LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE:
Lubricate the cardan shaft minimum once a week.
Lubricate all slide connectors once a week.
All ball bearings are permanently lubricated.
The drive chains must be lubricated at least once a year or after every 50 hours of work.
For this, Stuctobis® BHD or an oil of equivalent grade is recommended. The winch must
be removed from the tractor (see page 8, photo D).
Take care that no oil or grease falls on the clutch lining.
Grease daily the upper cable roller as required through the lubricating nipple on the
turning plate and put daily grease on the support turning plate.
SETTING THE BRAKE
The brake is set at the factory, so it does not need to be adjusted when you start using the
winch.
After extended use, there will be certain wear to the brake band, so an adjustment or new
brake band will be required. To adjust, pull the cable out carefully after the brake lever has
been engaged.
The distance between the nut and brake lever must be 10 mm
(page 10, photo B).
