The profi-air defroster heater 1.4 kW is an air pre-heating device to be integrated into the profi-air 250 flex ventilation unit, which is
intended to protect the heat exchanger from freezing condensate. The same holds true when combining the profi-air defroster
heater 1.85 kW with the profi-air 360 flex ventilation unit. The defroster heater can be switched on and off via the frost protection
strategy stored in the ventilation unit. To do so, the electric heater coil must be connected to the control of the respective ventila-
tion unit. This control ensures that the defroster heater only operates if there is a risk that the cross-flow heat exchanger can
freeze.
The profi-air defroster heater 1.4 kW consists of a heating spiral fitted to a galvanised steel-plate mounting panel. The installation is
done in the fan housing of the fresh air fan. To ensure protection against overheating, a safety temperature monitor (with an auto-
matic reset function) and a safety temperature limiter (with a manual reset function) are integrated.
