2. DESCRIPTION OF DEVICE
The D-Matrix 8T is a compact headend able to create two groups of 1/2/4 modulated multiplexes in accor-
ding to the DVB-T standard. It use the streams received from eight DVB-T, DVB-T2 or DVB-C digital multi-
plexes and a transport stream .TS, related to a audio/video external content stored in an external USB drive
(i.e. INFOCHANNEL). The .TS fi les can be obtained by converting any audio/video fi le into the right format,
using an appropriate software conversion tool (for ex. winFF).
The full-band output modulators group can be set on every frequencies in the VHF-S-UHF (114 − 858 MHz)
bands.
NB: The eight output RF multiplexer cannot be set independently, but they must be considered as belonging
to two different modulators groups (MUX1-MUX2-MUX3-MUX4 and MUX5-MUX6-MUX7-MUX8). For ex. if
the MUX1 RF output channel is set up, the MUX2-MUX3 and MUX4 RF output channel will be automatically set
up to the following adjacent channel of MUX1. If the MUX4 RF output channel is set up, the MUX1-MUX2 and
MUX3 RF output channel will be automatically set up to the previous adjacent channel of MUX4
The second RF raster output digital modulators (MUX5-MUX6-MUX7 and MUX8) has the same working
mode previously described for the fi rst output modulators group.
NOTE: To know the confi guration of output multiplex check the chapter “OUTPUT MENU”.
