During the harvesting process, the upper
linkage point on the tedder frame must be in
the free-floating position.
Properly adjusted tines for rake operation
touch the ground (soil) on the front side of the
rake when looking in the driving direction. In
this position, the rotor must be perfectly
horizontal in relation to the ground.
To achieve this, follow the directions below:
-
If the tine tips are too far off the ground,
raise the machine using the tractor
hydraulics and unlock the wheels (R) by
unscrewing the screws (N), making
sure you loosen the nut (Q) as shown in
Figure 10. Raise the wheel by one or
two positions to achieve the required
tine setting. Retighten the screw (N).
Do not forget to tighten the locknut (Q)
(Figure 10).
-
If the tine tips are too low, lower the
wheels (R) by one or two positions to
achieve optimal harvesting of the hay
and clean the track after raking.
Retighten the screw and the nut as
described above.
-
To finely adjust the working height for
hay harvesting, use of the upper
linkage is necessary. This is performed
by shortening or extending the upper
linkage.
-
This adjustment operation must be
performed extremely carefully in order
to achieve optimal harvesting (raking).
