Appendix - Instructions for installation and commissioning

Self-test

The optimail emits an acoustic signal and all
segments are briefly visible in the display.
The self-test ends with a short acoustic signal.

The optimail displays today’s date after the self-test.
The postage value display appears after about
3 seconds.

Step 7: Loading postage

Before you can frank letters with the optimail for the
first time, you have to load a certain postage amount
(at least 10 £) into the optimail. Read Chapter 7 on
page 24 to find out how to load postage.

We will gladly provide support for installing and
commissioning your optimail.
