• Press the CONTINUE multifunction key.
Setting the location (state)
You must set the postage meter location. The
optimail 30 needs this data to exactly display
the weight.
The optimail 30 opens a list.
• Use the arrow keys to scroll for the
appropriate state.
• Use the multifunction keys to set the state,
e.g.: ALASKA.
The optimail 30 saves this setting and contin-
ues with the next authorization procedure
step – Connection Configuration.
Connection Configuration
There are three ways of connecting
optimail 30:
– Internal Modem
– Universal Link Box (ULB)
– GSM Modem
(only in Europe)

• Start Connection Configuration with
CONTINUE.

offers a list where you can select from avail-
able connection types. This can take a few
seconds.
