Installation
In the following, the installation for all FP S-ENGuard devices of
the W640 /W667model series is described. If one step does not
apply to your model, simply continue with the next step.
Step 1: Selecting installation location and mounting the unit
on the wall
The FP S-ENGuard is designed for wall mounting. The housing
can be screwed directly onto the wall and must be opened for
this purpose. With wall brackets available as an option, the
housing can also be mounted when closed.

Choose a location that offers sufficient space for installation
and connection of the device.
Details on housing dimensions and weight can be found in
the “Technical data” section.

Make sure that the electrical system meets the requirements
mentioned in the “For your safety” section.

Select a location with good reception quality for a
FP S-ENGuard with a mobile modem.
To find a suitable location with good reception, the operating
software can be used to display the reception quality.

Sparks can cause explosion and fire!

Do not use the device in a potentially explosive environment
or in the vicinity of flammable gases, vapours, dust or con-
ductive dusts.
Possible damage to the device by external influences!

Only use the device in enclosed and clean spaces.

Protect the device from heat and direct sunlight.

Do not expose the device to strong shocks or vibrations.
