2-2 Install the Memory
Dual Channel Memory Coniguration
This mother�oard provides four DDR3 memory sockets
and supports Dual Channel Technology.
When memory is installed, the BIOS will automatically check the memory in your system.
Four DDR3 memory sockets are divided into two channels:
Channel 0 : DIMM1, DIMM2
DIMM2
Channel 1 : DIMM3, DIMM4
DIMM3, DIMM4
The com�inations of DIMM modules are :
Read the following guidelines �efore you �egin to install the memory :
Make sure that the motherboard supports the memory. It is recommended that
memory of the same capacity, �rand, speed, and chips �e used.
Always turn off the computer and unplug the power cord from the power outlet before
installing the memory to prevent hardware damage.
Memory modules have a foolproof design. A memory module can be installed in only
one direction. If you are una�le to insert the memory, switch the direction.
